Agricultural systems worldwide have continuously evolved over time. Literature identifies the First Agricultural Revolution or Agriculture 1.0 as the transition from hunting and gathering to settle farming. This was followed by the Second Agricultural Revolution, also known as the British Agricultural Revolution in the eighteenth century, which significantly increased agricultural production through mechanization and improved land productivity.
