Research on the Cross-Cultural Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage “Xiangyunsha” Under Digital Empowerment
摘要
Xiangyunsha, a dazzling treasure of traditional Chinese culture, carries a profound heritage spanning over a thousand years. As an intangible cultural heritage craft from the Lingnan region, Xiangyunsha has been exported overseas since the Ming Dynasty, praised by international friends as a “black shining pearl” of clothing art. It embodies the deep spirit and cultural essence of the nation and plays an increasingly important role in cross-cultural exchanges. How to fully explore the cultural implications embedded in Xiangyunsha and showcase its unique artistic charm is an urgent research topic. This effort not only serves as an important foundation for building cultural confidence but also as a symbolic cultural representation of the nation’s identity. In China, intangible cultural heritage projects have garnered significant social attention, frequently appearing in various promotional activities. However, beyond the Lingnan region, the awareness of intangible cultural heritage among the general public, especially school-aged youths, remains low, with limited frequency and means of engagement. In-depth market research revealed that public awareness of Xiangyunsha is still vague, compounded by the vast, complex network information, including misleading content, making it difficult for people to understand the true nature of Xiangyunsha and differentiate authenticity. Leveraging digital technology, this study aims to enhance the intercultural dialogue surrounding Xiangyunsha, fostering mutual learning and exchange between different cultures while promoting cultural confidence. With the rapid development of digital technology, a new stage has emerged, offering unprecedented opportunities for the promotion and evolution of traditional culture. In this context, utilizing the communication efficiency of digital empowerment for the cultural dissemination of Xiangyunsha represents not only a wise choice aligned with the times but also holds profound practical and historical significance, injecting new vitality into the inheritance and development of Chinese culture. Through field investigations, experiments, and literature reviews, this paper conducts an in-depth study of Xiangyunsha’s production techniques and market, revealing current issues. Building on this, the study analyzes the advantages of Xiangyunsha’s digital development from the perspective of digital empowerment and explores innovative pathways for designing a digital platform for the intangible cultural heritage of Xiangyunsha. The research design includes the following aspects: (1) Establishing a database of related knowledge, colors, etc., to provide rich material and data support for the digital dissemination of Xiangyunsha; (2) Using existing digital platforms for educational promotion, summarizing and compiling existing issues to provide references for future improvements; (3) Conducting user research to create user profiles, determining the content direction and design style for the platform to ensure it meets user needs; (4) Developing the platform framework based on the above steps, ensuring its practicality and usability. The purpose of this research and platform design is to provide new ideas and methodological support for the digital promotion and dissemination of Xiangyunsha, facilitating its cross-cultural exchange and promoting its inheritance and development.
