This study investigates the efficacy of the Mood Plants system, a tailored floral arrangement application, in mitigating stress among caregivers. Utilizing quantitative research methodologies, the study primarily focuses on immediate emotional responses and satisfaction levels post-interaction with both customized and non-customized floral arrangements. The experimental setup involved 50 caregivers from a sanatorium in Henan, China, who were divided into two groups: one receiving standard floral bouquets and the other receiving customized arrangements based on personal preferences analyzed through the Mood Plants software. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) assessments both before and after the floral interventions. The findings, analyzed using the mixed-design ANOVA, indicate significant improvements in mood and satisfaction for those who received customized flowers compared to standard arrangements, suggesting that personalized floral engagements may offer effective stress relief for caregivers. The Mood Plants application successfully utilized user data and preferences to significantly enhance the caregiving environment, affirming the potential of personalized natural interventions in caregivers stress management.
