Predicting Performance in Gamified Cognitive Executive Functioning Tasks for Neurodiverse Children Using Machine Learning
摘要
In this paper we introduce an educational platform for training executive functions and emotional regulation of neurodiverse children. The platform is based on gamified cognitive tasks to train working memory, attention, among others. Machine learning is used in the platform to assist teachers in the personalization of the sequence of games that suit a child. We describe the games and report on the results of the machine learning models for predicting the student’s performance (game scores) across different games. Experimental results suggest that the models have promising predictive performance depending on which game is recommended.
