The article examined the possibilities of using the public–private partnership mechanism in the implementation of projects in the agro-industrial complex of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts. For these purposes, a statistical analysis of the main indicators of agriculture was conducted, as well as an assessment of the level of development of public–private partnership in the studied regions. Low level of public–private partnership usage in agriculture is affected by insufficient awareness among agricultural producers of the advantages of this mechanism. Monitoring of the official websites of regional authorities was conducted, which showed insufficient availability and relevance of information on public–private partnership. In conclusion, a number of measures were proposed to improve information availability and raise awareness of public–private partnership among farmers, which can contribute to increased investment and the development of agricultural production in Russia.
