The theoretical study presents a brief review of publications in the databases and a model for assessing the readiness of young professionals for territorial mobility during their first employment. The empirical part of the study describes the readiness of graduates of a Russian agricultural university for labor territorial mobility. A total of 735 graduates took part in the survey. The research database was processed in the SPSS Statistics program (version 27). According to the results of the study, we found that the potential for labor mobility of future young professionals is very high and, under certain circumstances, 73.2% of the survey participants would consider moving. We identified the factors that increase the willingness of graduates to move to a rural area for permanent residence and work: highly paid work with a normal schedule (40 h a week, weekend, vacations); good transport accessibility of a rural locality; developed telecommunication networks (Wi-Fi, high-speed Internet); the presence of educational organizations in the locality (kindergarten, school, additional education); your own farming business or small business.
