In this chapter, we derive the governing equations of the mean pressure and velocity fields. The governing equations of \(\left\langle \underline{V}(\underline{X},t)\right\rangle \) and \(\left\langle {p}(\underline{X},t)\right\rangle \) can possibly provide us a direct way to compute these flow statistics without relying on any averaging procedure (discussed in Sect. 4.11 ). Further, these equations can help us gain deeper insights into what influences the evolution of the mean flow field in a turbulent flow.

摘要

In this chapter, we derive the governing equations of the mean pressure and velocity fields. The governing equations of \(\left\langle \underline{V}(\underline{X},t)\right\rangle \) and \(\left\langle {p}(\underline{X},t)\right\rangle \) can possibly provide us a direct way to compute these flow statistics without relying on any averaging procedure (discussed in Sect. 4.11 ). Further, these equations can help us gain deeper insights into what influences the evolution of the mean flow field in a turbulent flow.
