Life as Process and Experience: The Contributions of a Pragmatic Relational Sociology
摘要
This chapter seeks to maintain the dialogue with François Dépelteau’s ideas on relational sociology, contextualising the reflections in his final, unfinished manuscript, “Sociology with Love,” published in this handbook. His work places creativity at the heart of sociological practice, urging us to step beyond conventional frameworks and embrace innovative ways of understanding and addressing social phenomena. Connected to this emphasis on creativity, Dépelteau introduces the notion of love as a relational process that fosters connection, solidarity and cooperation. This perspective positions love as a practical and transformative way to rethink sociological inquiry and everyday life. His reflections provide a lens for navigating our time’s complex and unpredictable scenarios, offering a relational sociology that fosters a deeper understanding of the dynamic social life.
