Technical Aspects of Colon Capsule Endoscopes (CCE)
摘要
Colon capsule endoscopy is a minimally invasive alternative for both enteric and colonic evaluations, ultimately achieving minimally invasive panendoscopy. However, its widespread use is limited by the time-consuming and complex required analysis. In recent years, significant progress has been achieved in both software and hardware capabilities, allowing for the integration of colon capsule endoscopy in the clinical practice. Nevertheless, several steps are required for optimal procedure implementation, namely, the development of specific bowel cleansing scores. Finally, the authors will discuss the application of artificial intelligence models to colon capsule endoscopy, enhancing the diagnostic accuracy while reducing the exam reading time.
