Colon capsule endoscopy is a noninvasive imaging technology primarily designed to provide detailed visualization of the colon. While the main intention of this technology is to examine the large intestine, it also captures images from the oral cavity through the small intestine as the capsule travels along the gastrointestinal tract. This chapter outlines the anatomical regions and landmarks observed during colon capsule endoscopy, including the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, with particular emphasis on the large intestine. Key landmarks such as the Z-line, duodenal bulb, ileocecal valve, and mucosal patterns are highlighted. The images obtained provide a dynamic and comprehensive view, offering insights into key anatomical structures and regions that are sometimes inaccessible to traditional endoscopy.
