Marketing research has undergone continuous transformations in past decades. New technologies have made research more efficient worldwide. As both a market for and a provider of such services to other countries (mainly the EU), Romania has experienced growth in this sector. Companies use marketing research more and more as it helps them make better decisions. The opportunities and challenges AI brings will certainly reshape marketing research, as it did in other industries. Romanian specialists are ready for new technologies and new challenges. This chapter starts with a brief introduction, followed by an overview of the progress marketing and marketing research have made in the past decades. The paper continues to show different facets of marketing research in Romania, from the methodologies used to market players’ growing utilization of such services. Finally, a brief look into the future is provided alongside some conclusions.
