This article explores the relationship between human creativity and artificial intelligence (AI) in light of Peirce's classification of signs: icon, index, and symbol. The study investigates how human creativity operates in a continuous process of generating new signs and interpretations, in contrast to AI, which tends to be limited to the iconic and indexical levels due to its dependence on pre-existing patterns. While humans participate in an unlimited semiotic cycle, where symbolic signs generate deeper and cultural meanings, AI appears restricted to reproducing iconic and causal associations. The central question explores whether AI can ever develop the ability to create genuinely symbolic signs, or if its creativity will remain confined to the iconic and indexical levels. Examples of creative collaboration between humans and AI are discussed, analyzing whether these interactions represent a true expansion of the creative horizon or a reorganization of existing signs. Through this semiotic lens, the article discusses the limits and possibilities of artificial creativity, proposing a reflection on the role of humans in mediating and expanding symbolic creativity.

摘要
