Climate change poses significant challenges to agriculture-dependent communities in the Global South, where recurrent droughts, floods, and shifting weather patterns threaten food security and agricultural productivity. These environmental shifts compel the adoption of adaptive agricultural practices, such as crop diversification, agroforestry, conservation agriculture, and the use of climate-resilient crop varieties, which have proven successful in enhancing resilience. However, access to resources and knowledge remains a critical barrier; farmers in these regions often lack adequate education, extension services, and timely information on climate adaptation techniques. This impedes their ability to fully capitalize on sustainable agricultural practices. Case studies highlight both success stories and ongoing challenges. Successful adaptation projects demonstrate the importance of localized approaches, but obstacles such as limited access to markets, technology, and financial resources persist. Policy interventions are crucial to supporting agricultural resilience. National and international policies must focus on improving finance, infrastructure, and rural development to foster adaptive capacity and reduce vulnerability. Effective policy frameworks that integrate climate change adaptation into agricultural systems are essential for long-term sustainability. This chapter therefore emphasizes on the complex relationship between climate change, agriculture, and community resilience in the Global South, offering insights into practical solutions and identifying areas where further support is needed.

摘要
