With the module design and the research informing this book, I set out set out to make contributions in the areas of more versatile research approaches for translation pedagogy, a focus on learning and teaching the translation of cultural items, concrete teaching suggestions and suggestions regarding how the theoretical underpinnings that inform our pedagogy could be enriched. These contributions were made by following the Pedagogical Imperative cycle and answering a range of research questions.
