AR-Enabled Design Strategies and Practices for Future Agricultural Cultural Heritage Experiences
摘要
Rural revitalization and the construction of an agricultural powerhouse are strategic priorities for China. However, globally important agricultural heritage systems (GIAHS) face significant development challenges. Agricultural cultural heritage embodies the unique history and culture of rural communities, playing a critical role in driving rural revitalization, cultural preservation, and agricultural development. In the digital era, cultural dissemination increasingly integrates advanced digital technologies. Enhancing the value communication of agricultural cultural heritage through digital means has become a crucial research focus. Augmented reality (AR) technology, with its high interactivity and immersive features, offers innovative solutions for the digital preservation and experiential design of agricultural cultural heritage. This work adopts a futurist perspective, aiming to explore the application of AR technology in multidimensional value development for the inheritance and promotion of agricultural cultural heritage. It constructs an AR-based interactive experience system and proposes a design strategy combining immersion and interactivity, tailored to the diverse development needs and technological conditions of different heritage sites. This approach establishes an innovative “replicable and transferable” design framework. By providing theoretical support and practical pathways for the digital transformation and interactive experience design of agricultural cultural heritage, this study also highlights the extensive potential of futurist thinking in driving innovation within this domain.
