Pilot performance is a direct factor affecting safety, while psychological factors are the underlying reasons for the quality of pilot performance. This study (Supported by the Fundamental Research Funds of CASTC (XXX2060302102).) examines the relationship between pilots’ facial expressions, physiological indicators, and core competencies during simulator training. By utilizing advanced technologies, such as the facial expression analysis system and the smart watch, the study collects data from 51 cadet pilots across 370 training projects. The analysis reveals significant correlations between emotional effectiveness, arousal level, pressure, heart rate, body temperature, and core competencies like decision-making and teamwork. This research enriches our understanding of pilot performance and offers practical insights for enhancing training programs and improving flight safety management.
