In this chapter we study the zeros and isolated singularities of holomorphic functions. We begin by considering the zeros of holomorphic functions. One striking feature is the identity theorem, which states that the zeros of a nontrivial holomorphic function must be isolated. This is in sharp contrast with real-valued functions in two variables.

In this chapter we study the zeros and isolated singularities of holomorphic functions. We begin by considering the zeros of holomorphic functions.
