Individualized Medicine for Cardiovascular Disease: The curATime Consortium
摘要
The curATime cluster (Consortium, Tc, CurATime website, 2023) is a regional network that aims to advance research in cardiovascular medicine and achieve new progress and innovation in cardiovascular medicine by combining medical expertise (coordinated by the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), artificial intelligence (coordinated by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, DFKI), and biotechnological entrepreneurship and drug development (coordinated by TRON gGmbH and BioNTech SE). The network, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the clusters4future initiative, includes research institutes, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger corporations in the Rhine-Main area. The development ranges from new diagnostic tools, preventive wearables and apps to new personalized therapeutics that leverage recent biotechnological advances to provide safer and more effective treatment for people with cardiovascular disease or at risk of developing it.
