A Smartphone-Based Solution for Enhancing Interactive Learning Experiences in Early Childhood Education Using Near Field Communication and Holographic Modules
摘要
Near Field Communication (NFC) tags offer dynamic information storage and retrieval capabilities when paired with an NFC reader. Despite its vast applicability across sectors, including education, the adoption of NFC technology in enhancing the student learning experience remains limited. This is largely due to the perceived necessity for specialized, high-computational-power devices that are not typically found in everyday life. This research explores the use of portable devices, specifically smartphones, that can compute like desktop computers by utilizing NFC technology. A novel solution is developed to support interactive learning for early childhood education, focusing on sea animal creatures. The approach involves attaching NFC tags to small sea animal figures; utilizing smartphones as NFC readers and projecting the retrieved information into a hologram to create an engaging and immersive environment. This innovative solution aims to broaden the educational applications of NFC technology and inspire further research at the intersection of NFC, holograms, and pedagogy, ultimately enriching the learning experience in early childhood education.
