Oracle-Inspired RFID-Based Indoor Positioning Architecture for Sharing Assets
摘要
Indoor positioning information, which falls under the category of privacy data, raises concerns regarding the extent to which data owners can utilize this information. Traditional GNSS and base station positioning systems rely on centralized hardware infrastructure, necessitating users to disclose information to third parties when utilizing their services. However, this research proposes an alternative approach that utilizes RFID, a decentralized indoor positioning technology, in conjunction with the Oracle mechanism to share location information on the blockchain. This approach mitigates the risk of third-party information leakage. Significantly, this research leverages the registration and access mechanism of Chainlink, enabling users not only to access location information but also to generate important location data during specific time periods. Thus, it achieves a fair and equitable sharing of location information among users. This research commences with the design of a comprehensive architecture that employs RFID IoT devices and Chainlink oracles to share location information on the blockchain. Subsequently, it introduces the RFID positioning algorithm and the cloud-edge collaboration of IoT devices, which constitute the off-chain design. Finally, it describes the contract design for the on-chain component. Following the completion of the design and research, experimental studies were conducted in a controlled environment.
