The complexity of globalization, cutting-edge technology, and societal change are all reflected in the massive challenges faced by the education sector in the twenty-first century. In order to shape citizens who can contribute to a just and sustainable society, education policies and the role of teachers should be reformed to adjust to the dynamics of the new reality. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the teaching approach based on John Hattie’s concept of visible learning, in order to enhance learning outcomes and the overall education experience. The research methodology relies on a qualitative descriptive approach, which combines theoretical and practical analysis. Specifically, a case study (practical case study) has been analysed during the mandatory preparatory teacher training. Results indicate that teachers implementing Hattie’s approach share successful experiences and methods. The findings reveal that the effect of this method is evident in multiple significant aspects, concerning readers’ engagement with the content of the novel and the way this novel affects their personal and intellectual growth. With the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) and the application of generative AI (GenAI), which pertains to technology in teaching and learning, in order to provide students and teachers with options on how to explore accessible alternatives as needed, theoretical and practical analyses of the experiences acquired can be performed in a more comprehensive and inclusive manner, which contributes to presenting a fresh aspect of effectiveness in teaching and lifelong learning.

摘要
