This chapter will discuss technical procedures involved in collecting and securing data on UAVs and drones for forensic analysis. A review of methods tailored to work with iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows operating systems will follow. The chapter steps through the forensic images acquisition from iPhones, Android devices, and drone SD cards in detailed steps using open-source and native tools. This chapter concerns itself with the logical and physical methods of imaging and equips the users with practical skills to execute data extraction and analysis on drones while keeping digital evidence intact.
