Current research focuses on how project management sustainability models impact healthcare service organizations. A new focus on the sustainable engineering model is gradually emerging in healthcare project management. The current hospital environment is complex, and resources are limited. Using bibliometric methods and the Scopus database, this study aims to identify new scientific trends regarding the impact of the project management sustainability model on the organization of health sector services. The results show that the annual growth rate of academic performance in this subject is a remarkable 5.07%. It was found that 6963 authors and 541 sources contributed to these articles. 2024 was the most scientifically productive year, with 234 publications. According to Lotka’s law, 90.5% of authors made only one contribution, and only 1.4% contributed to at least three papers. BMC Health Services Research is the leading field with 32 publications and is the most relevant source, followed by BMJ Global Health with 28 publications. The US leads with 1371 submissions, followed by Australia (481) and the UK (396). The institution with the highest contribution to this topic was the University of Washington, with 95 contributions, followed by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, with 75 contributions. Finally, McKee M was the most prolific author, publishing seven articles, followed by Assefa and Braithwaite J, with six articles each.
