In a context of global change, environmental and sustainability education addresses the understanding and development of learning processes that concern the relationships and interactions between human beings and their natural environment and that take place both inside and outside the classrooms. It does so, increasingly, from a systemic and transdisciplinary approach, based on responsibility, collaboration and the will to transform, which help to support new forms of knowledge and action that allow us to face the complexity of the phenomena of the global environmental crisis.
