Knowledge management aims to capitalize on knowledge and makes it accessible within an organization or group. However, it can be difficult to engage all members of the organization in its realization, particularly in terms of access to existing knowledge, and the sharing of new knowledge. Gamification is being considered as a way of making an impact on this commitment. By following the DSR method, a visual representation of an organization’s knowledge including gamification mechanics has been prototyped. It aims to be personalized for each member of an organization, using the progression mechanics, so they could easily know which knowledge has been acquired, and which knowledge has to be. The model is also driven towards collaboration within the organization. The prototype presently faces software limitations but could easily be used to verify future user interest. Other gamification mechanics and elements still need to be explored more in depth to be added to the prototype, such as players’ profiles.

摘要
