This paper presents a concept for the integration of Assembly Sequence Planning into Product Lifecycle Management. The use of Assembly Sequence Planning in the product lifecycle is described to show how it can enable Design for X. The presented concept covers the main phases of the product lifecycle and highlights the resulting advantages for the Product Lifecycle Management. Two new Assembly Sequence Planning methods based on Reinforcement Learning using a physics-based simulation environment are presented and validated.
