In Southeast Asia, developing countries are home to diverse cultures and traditions, including unique cultural heritage properties. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted these cultural heritage properties across the globe. Without a doubt, Southeast Asia’s cultural properties, particularly UNESCO World Heritage sites, have been instrumental in managing and promoting tourism on both national and international boundaries. The loss of these properties is irreplaceable, resulting in a significant attrition of cultural history and identity. Consequently, the conservation management systems in Southeast Asian countries must address specific challenges after the closure due to this pandemic. Therefore, the efforts to enhance resilience and promote sustainable conservation practices are essential to protecting these incredible cultural treasures for future generations.
