In recent years, the domain of wearable device design research (WD-DR) has garnered considerable interest, exhibiting a diverse and complex knowledge architecture, marked by major multidisciplinary qualities and an abundance of linked studies. Consequently, it is challenging to obtain a thorough understanding of the principal research themes and the progression of research trajectories across the worldwide academic community alone through conventional review approaches. This study utilises the Web of Science (WOS) database as the primary information source and undertakes a comprehensive analysis of the present research status, focal points, and future trends in wearable device design. This study seeks to offer insights and significant references regarding potential innovation opportunities and future development trajectories of WD-DR while concurrently delivering critical analysis and perspectives on the current state of smart wearable device technology and related research endeavours.

摘要
