This study investigates the usability of the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) website for prospective students through a novel comparative analysis of three distinct usability evaluation methods: User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), usability testing, and heuristic evaluation. The integration of these empirical and analytical methods highlights the innovative potential of combining approaches to achieve a comprehensive usability assessment. Findings indicate common usability concerns across all methods, such as navigation inefficiency and unintuitive information design, while also showcasing the unique strengths of each method. The UEQ provides quick and quantitative insights into hedonic qualities like stimulation and novelty, usability testing generates detailed qualitative and quantitative data through direct user interaction, and heuristic evaluation efficiently identifies a broader spectrum of usability problems using expert analysis. This study underscores the value of a mixed-method approach, offering actionable recommendations for user-centered website design and demonstrating its relevance for improving university recruitment strategies.

摘要
