Participation is an essential component of user-centered design, but it can be difficult to ensure meaningful participation and align the perspectives of stakeholders involved in a design process. Integrating participatory design in the early stages of ideation can support meaningful participation from stakeholders from the outset of the design process. This paper explores a framework for applying participatory design requirements to the design process and presents a theoretical approach to support the formation of participatory design education teams. The findings suggest that a structured framework for rapid idea generation and synthesis, when paired with methods to accommodate participant preferences and motivations, leads to an improvement in outcomes for the collaborative design process.

摘要
