Bie-modernsim, as a theory describing the unique social formations of developing countries such as China, emphasizes the hybridization of pre-modern, modern and post-modern elements. Cultural Computing, on the other hand, utilizes computer technology to quantitatively analyze cultural phenomena. The purpose of this study is to verify the existence of Bie-modernity in contemporary South Korean literature by using Bie-modernist Cultural Computing, and to compare and verify it with the theory of “Compressed Modernity” proposed by South Korean sociologists. South Korea's modernization process is similar to that of China, which has gone through the transition from an agricultural society to an industrial society and is facing the complex problem of modernity. The theory of “Compressed Modernity” proposed by Jang Kyung-sup is similar to the theory of Bie-modernsim in that it reveals the complexity of the modernization process of late-developed countries. In this study, the works of three famous South Korean contemporary writers, Lee Chang-dong, Kim Ae-ran, and Han Kang, are selected as the objects of study, totaling 13 works. These works show the dilemmas and hopes of different classes and groups in South Korean society as they face the challenges of life, as well as their profound reflections on human nature, history, and social issues. This study will use Bie-modernist Cultural Computing to textually analyze the above literary works, extract the characteristics of modernity, pre-modernity, and post-modernity in them, and compute, compare, and analyze them. Through Bie-modernist Cultural Computing, this study will verify the existence of Bie-modernsim features in contemporary South Korean literature and explore their relationship with the modernization process of South Korean society, which will help to understand the social and cultural background of contemporary South Korean literature, as well as the complexity and contradiction in the modernization process of South Korea society. Moreover, by comparing and verifying the theory of Bie-modernist Cultural Computing with the theory of Compressed Modernity, the study further enriches and develops the theory of Bie-modernism and provides new ideas and methods for the application of Bie-modernist Cultural Computing in the study of literature. At the same time, this study promotes the cross-fertilization of Bie-modernsim theory and Cultural Computing in the dimensions of new objects, new methods and new evidence, and provides new theoretical perspectives and methodological tools for the fields of Literary Studies, Cultural Computing and Human-Computer Interaction.

摘要
