Inefficient management of pre-professional internships in higher education institutions can cause problems such as lack of adequate follow-up, poor communication between the main actors, long times to obtain information about the process and for the preparation of documentation. This paper proposes the design of a web application to improve the management of internships in higher technological institutes in Ecuador. For this purpose, monolithic architecture and microservices are addressed. In addition, monolithic architecture and microservices are explored, presenting a detailed proposal that includes the use of Spring Cloud technologies and other relevant resources to effectively address this solution. It is concluded that the technological proposal can contribute significantly to improve the experience of those involved, as well as to strengthen the link between higher education and the labor sector.
