Satellite remote sensing and GIS integration have expedited precision agriculture development, enabling better crop monitoring, resource efficiency, and sustainability. In this chapter, we will examine how emerging technologies such as satellite remote sensing, UAV integration, AI analytics, IoT sensor networks, and cloud computing are influencing existing agricultural practices. Modern satellite technology is described, including Very High-Resolution (VHR) imaging (e.g., WorldView-4, SkySat) for sub-meter crop monitoring, multispectral and hyperspectral sensing for precise spectral analysis, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technologies such as Sentinel-1 and Capella Space for weather-independent views. High-frequency imaging using CubeSats and SmallSats is stressed. The use of UAVs combined with satellite photography is investigated, with a focus on AI-enabled drones for real-time inspection, thermal and multispectral imaging, and precise field mapping. GIS software improvements such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS 3.16 are investigated, as well as AI-enabled spatial analysis, 3D GIS, and dynamic farm simulations utilizing digital twin technology. AI and machine learning technologies for agriculture are being studied, including predictive analytics for yield prediction, climate-resilient models, and computer vision for autonomous disease diagnostics. IoT-based smart sensor networks are being tested for real-time soil health monitoring and microclimate observation, as well as cloud-based platforms like Google Earth Engine and AWS for large data processing. Technologies being explored include LiDAR-based high-resolution 3D mapping, blockchain for transparent food chains, and autonomous equipment with GIS integration. The chapter concludes with a discussion of sustainability, technology limitations, and future directions, providing useful insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to attain precision agriculture.

摘要
