Soil restoration brings degraded soils back to their original state and has an influence on crop productivity through biological management. Soil restoration plays a key role in managing land, but most limits have room to get better. We need to use long-lasting ways to take care of the land. This helps stop soil from washing away, keeps farms productive, and protects plants and animals over time. The big issues that come from worn-out soil should push us to study and make better ways to fix damaged ground. This chapter looks at things that might hold back soil recovery. Agroforestry, agricultural conservation programs, and soil research are reviewed as ways to enhance soil health. The study continues to insist on the holistic approach to soil biology, chemistry, and physics as the solution to challenges such as the requirement to understand sensitivities concerning soil health; shortage in funding; and resistance from creditors on project interventions. This implies the role of financial inputs and adaptive management in keeping the long-term viability of soil restoration projects. This literature underlines the consideration for unique local factors and contextual factors while designing effective strategies aimed at restoring soil health- context-specific approaches are to be adopted.
