Hydrogen cyanide is a HPHC compound present in cigarette smoke, but not expected to be found in tobacco or oral tobacco products. The analysis of hydrogen cyanide performed using continuous flow analysis (CFA) is the more common method for the analysis. The chapter includes the description of HCN analysis by different variants of CFA, but also using other techniques such as GC–MS.
