This chapter consolidates the findings of this comprehensive study, integrating key results and interactions uncovered through analysis. Initially, the main results are summarized, accompanied by a characterization of the study sample, which considers various sociodemographic, correctional, and therapeutic markers. Following this, the chapter identifies the primary predictors of recidivism. It contrasts the post-release social reality of persons convicted of sex offenses with that of persons convicted of violent offenses, revealing how recidivism dynamics are largely shaped by structural barriers, stigmatization levels, and distinctive self-representation patterns. The significance of coping skills and mechanisms in shaping pathways toward desistance or reoffending is highlighted. The chapter concludes with a discussion of its limitations and suggests new directions for interventions aimed at addressing sexual offending, paving the way for future research and policy development in this critical area.

摘要
