This chapter completes the description in Chapter 4 of the network of considerations that constitute the product of the process of forming reasons and of drawing conclusions and applying them to a case in discussion. The cohesion of an argumentation requires that its constituent considerations be mutually relevant, forming argument structures. Through detailed examples and diagrams, several argument structures are described and exemplified: chaining, warrant and backing, direct analogy, conjunction and disjunction of reasons, and modification.
