This paper explores the application, evaluation, and refinement of Soar Technology, LLC’s (SoarTech) SpeechZero™ in various training platforms: computer-based (including web and game simulation) and mobile-based application. SpeechZero™ is an artificial intelligence (AI) enabled speech capability that uses end-to-end automatic speech recognition (ASR) along with intent models to provide accurate speech recognition and semantic parsing in specialized domains. This system can provide immediate, contextually accurate feedback and can identify common speech errors, like timing and disfluencies. These features can enhance training by providing another mode for users to take in training content, provide answers, and receive feedback.
