This study presents a revised Earth's crust typification, incorporating contemporary data regarding heat flow, relief, crustal and sedimentary cover thickness, as well as anomalies in the gravity field. The rationale for selecting the cluster analysis method and its associated parameters for typification is provided. Additionally, examples of regions with uniform seismic potential (maximum magnitude) are included. The assessment of seismic potential was derived from an instrumental earthquake catalog that utilizes a standardized magnitude scale.

摘要

This study presents a revised Earth's crust typification, incorporating contemporary data regarding heat flow, relief, crustal and sedimentary cover thickness, as well as anomalies in the gravity field. The rationale for selecting the cluster analysis method and its associated parameters for typification is provided. Additionally, examples of regions with uniform seismic potential (maximum magnitude) are included. The assessment of seismic potential was derived from an instrumental earthquake catalog that utilizes a standardized magnitude scale.
