Based on the Pc1 event, it is shown that the observed wave can be a set of harmonics of a near-equatorial resonator for ion-ion hybrid modes. The Pc1 wave with a frequency just above the gyrofrequency of helium ions has been registered by Van Allen Probe A. During the event, high densities of helium and oxygen ions were observed. The ratio of helium mass density to proton mass density was approximately 1 and the ratio of oxygen mass density to proton mass density exceeded 10. It is shown that the frequency of the Pc1 wave is close to the cutoff frequency at the turning points of the near-equatorial resonator, which means that wave may be trapped in the resonator.

摘要
