Concept reduction and attribute reduction are two important research topics in formal concept analysis. By means of deriving concept reducts of a formal context from the attribute reducts of its complementary context, this paper uncovers the internal relationship between them. Firstly, the equivalent condition that attribute concepts are absolutely unnecessary concepts is presented by absolutely unnecessary attributes of its complementary context, based on which, the concept reduct composed of attribute concepts of a formal context is obtained from the attribute reduct of its complementary context. Thus, the acquisition methods of attribute reduction are extended to concept reduction. Dually, using a similar way, the concept reduct composed of object concepts of a formal context is obtained from the object reduct of its complementary context.
