This study focuses on the core needs of patients with home palliative care, aiming to deeply analyze the multidimensional problems in the palliative care process through a systematic method. The study uses a variety of research methods such as unstructured interviews, non-participatory observations, literature research, and questionnaires to fully capture patient needs. The core needs of home palliative care are identified and clustered through the SAPAD-AHP analysis method. This method combines the cluster analysis of the semantic layer and the weight evaluation of the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) to effectively identify the core concerns of patients from multiple dimensions. On this basis, this study proposes a service design strategy for home palliative care patients from the perspective of virtual reality, using virtual reality technology to provide more comprehensive and diverse service solutions. The study completed the interface prototype design and demonstrated its usability to ensure the practicality and effectiveness of the design solution. In addition, this study also proposed a demand analysis method under the perspective of semiotics, explored the combination of virtual reality technology in the field of home palliative care, and proposed a design strategy guided by multidimensional needs, providing a new perspective and practical path for the innovative development of home palliative care services.
