Polyps on Colonoscopy
摘要
For most polyps, endoscopic resection can be performed using advanced techniques such as endoscopic mucosal or submucosal resection. Surgical resection is reserved for polyps that are technically difficult to remove endoscopically or have a high likelihood of containing invasive cancer. Resecting a polyp endoscopically does not negatively affect cancer outcomes should it be cancerous on final pathology.
