Parathyroid Disease
摘要
Hyperparathyroidism can result from many etiologies, with the most common being primary hyperparathyroidism. This condition is usually identified based on routine blood tests and is often asymptomatic. All patients with symptoms should be referred to a surgeon, as should those with asymptomatic disease with evidence of end-organ involvement. Asymptomatic hyperparathyroidism without end-organ disease should undergo annual surveillance.
