Application of the GR4j Method and the ERA5 Grilled Climatic Information to Obtain Monthly Flows in the Pisco Basin to the Letrayoc Station
摘要
Given the need to know the records of long-standing monthly flows in the Pisco River Basin and the little hydrometeorological information that is available within it, this research focused on generating series of historical flows using the ERA5 grilled climate records of average daily precipitation, average daily temperature, and monthly flows of the Pisco River basin to the Letrayoc hydrometric station provided by the Peruvian National Authority of Water (ANA). To generate these flows, the precipitation method – RUN off GR4j was used. With this method, excellent R2 correlation coefficients close to 1 were obtained between 2015 and 2017, both for its calibration and validation period. This excellent fit between the measured and generated records allowed us to build a historical record of 40 years between 1979 and 2019. These flows will be very useful in the development of water and hydrological projects in the future.
