There are many construction problems when executing the construction of buildings, so the research aims at the implementation of Six Sigma in the analysis and improvement of quality control during the construction of traditional homes since the contributions of this philosophy become interesting when applied in the construction of rural homes. Although it is little studied, it is very important to analyze this philosophy since, without adequate economic resources (residents of rural areas of the high Andes), it becomes even more necessary to identify errors and correct them immediately to avoid excessive costs and improve the quality of construction. Although the houses called Putuco have great resistance to the passage of time, they could be improved. This preliminary study has identified frequent problems (in 20 master builders surveyed) such as the builder’s skills (50%) and problems in the area of extraction of Ch’ampa (30%). Also, according to the opinion of experts (40 engineers interviewed), there is a lack of technical follow-up (62.5%), inadequate selection of materials (22.5%), which together show problems in construction skills and knowledge that generate secondary problems regarding the quality of materials. Especially the construction techniques and skills and the lack of technical direction are problems that affect the quality of the construction and should be corrected in the construction of Putuco.

摘要
