These values are analyzed in light of existing leadership research, including studies from the FBI Academy and broader policing literature. The chapter highlights the alignment between personal, professional, and organizational values, underlining their importance in effective leadership. It also contrasts effective and ineffective leadership traits, emphasizing the role of values in shaping police culture and performance.
