Graphical User Interface Based LSB and MSB Embedding Algorithm for Secured Audio Steganography in IoT
摘要
Audio steganography is a covert method for securely embedding multimedia files within an audio carrier. This paper focuses on hiding a text within either the least or most significant bits in the audio file. The stego audio file communicated through the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport protocol in the Internet of Things environment. A graphical user interface application determines the optimal bit for hiding information based on user requirements. The GUI provides real-time feedback, interactive adjustments, and comprehensive data display, enabling users to make informed decisions about embedding bits. Evaluation metrics like Mean Squared Error, Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio, and Bit Error Rate quantify the distortion between the original cover and the stego audio files. The least significant bit embedding achieves an average PSNR of 31.76dB, while the most significant bit embedding exceeds 32.27dB. Correspondingly, the BER for LSB is 8.44E-04, marginally exceeding the MSB’s 7.49E-04, highlighting its improved data integrity.
