Aside from the well-established and frequently used nerve transfers like Oberlin/Somsak or accessory to suprascapular nerve, there are transfers that are applied in special situations in patients with very limited reconstructive choices. Sometimes these transfers are used to gain at least some stability for the shoulder joint or as motor donor for free muscle transfers. Keeping in mind the recently upcoming bioelectrical ortheses that act as an amplifier of any voluntary movement, even these rarely performed nerve transfers can lead to a significant improvement of individual function. This chapter will highlight some of the rare transfers without claiming completeness.
