The integration of Blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) shows the transformative opportunities to develop the sustainability in the blue economy, including the sectors like fisheries, shipping, and marine conservation. This study uses a systematic literature review to examine how these technologies can address the critical challenges such as resource overexploitation, pollution, and climate change impacts. The design focuses on analysing the peer-reviewed journals, industry reports, and case studies from 2018 to 2024 to ascertain the key trends, benefits, and limitations of these technologies. Blockchain is emphasized for its ability to ensure the transparency and traceability in the supply chain, particularly in combating illegal fishing and enhancing maritime trade accountability. It has been found that Blockchain and AI synergistically enable adaptive management of marine resources, optimize shipping operations, and support renewable energy solutions. Blockchain-based carbon trading and AI-driven waste management enrich their contribution to moderating climate change and marine pollution. However, barriers such as data accessibility, cost, and regulatory gaps must be addressed. This study concludes that adopting block chain and AI in the blue economy can knowingly sustainability goals, guaranteeing the economic growth while stabilising the ocean ecosystems for future generations.
